BANGHAM HEIGHTS:
The Food & Faith Pantry served 11 families, prepared 17 boxes, and had
16 volunteers.
The Prayer Card Ministry sent out 642 cards of encouragement.
Women on Missions is collecting coins for missionaries to purchase water
purifiers for the people they serve.
Wednesday, August 4, we started TEAM Kids for children age 3 to 6th grade.
We will have a Creek Baptismal Service at 5:00 p .m. Saturday, August 29.
Everyone is invited to our Labor Day Picnic September 5, at 5:30 p .m.
We are blessed with the arrival of Brayden Talon Greene on July 29. Proud
parents are Thereska Morrison and Darren Greene.

CANEY FORK:
We welcomed one new member by letter. There will be a Children's Activity
August 28th. Everyone is invited to Fifth Sunday Singing August 29, 2010 at
6 PM. Finger foods following the singing. WMU will serve food at the
Executive Board Meeting August 30. The men are having a breakfast Sept. 4.
Brother Steve Thornton will be doing a Revival in Baxter September 12 - 15,
2010. We will have a Lay Revival the week of Sept. 19, 2010 and men of the
church will be speakers. Acteens will have a Wild Game Dinner Fundraiser for
NAC on September 18, 2010 6-8 PM. Another Acteen Fundraiser October 9,
2010, Cruise In and dinner.

COLONIAL VIEW:
The Lord continues to bless our church with new members by letter and by
baptism. We had a new record attendance in July for Sunday morning
worship services, 151.
Our fifth Sunday singing will be August 29th. We will have a covered dish
meal at 5 p.m. followed by singing at 6 p.m. Everybody welcome.

Pick your teammate. Two person teams will be paired by draw with another
two person team to make a four person team
Team will play best ball. Sign up at White Plains Golf Course (537-6397) by 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 27th give names of both players. Name will not be put in the drawing until paid. Drawing will be at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Prizes for closest to the hole on all par 3 holes, and other prizes as well.
Church League Volleyball
Registration for volleyball is Tuesday, August 31 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, with rosters and the $100 team fee due. Rosters will not be accepted before or after August 31 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Games are played on Tuesday and Thursday nights with the possibility of matches on Monday night as well.

CROSSROADS:
We took part in the Ignite leadership conference Aug 20-21 at The River.
Pray for the "Labor for Your Neighbor" efforts on September 4 & 5. We are serving our community at the Baxter Street Fair on Saturday, and giving our Sunday morning to various community service projects.
We will start a walk through the book of Romans on September 12, using Max Lucado's In the Grip of Grace.
The next mobile food pantry from Sec- ond Harvest is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, at Upperman High School. Please pray for our partner churches in the West Putnam Food Ministry as we continue these efforts to share God's love with the Baxter area.
